The Cherokee
County Special Education Cooperative serves the special education needs
for the children in Rusk I.S.D., Alto I.S.D., Bullard I.S.D., New Summerfield
I.S.D., and Wells I.S.D. It is governed by a board whose members are the
Superintendents of the member districts. The Cooperative's office
is housed in the Administrative Building of the Rusk Independent School
District. The itinerant personnel are employed by the Rusk Independent
School District. The Cooperative costs are shared by the member districts.
