REMINDER Friday Enrichment Our Friday program for parents in need of child care will begin next Friday, August 18th. I wanted to clarify that the program is available to ALL RISD students. The educational activities are not graded or part of the normal school day but they are geared to help reinforce learning. Since the work is not “for a grade” your student will not need accommodations. We WILL, however, provide them with the necessary help to strengthen and improve any areas they might currently struggle with. I also wanted to address situations with parents who work a varied schedule. Some parents may work 2 or 3 Fridays a month and only need the program on certain weeks. You can still enroll in the program and have child care available on those weeks. We need you to notify us a week in advance, if possible, so we can plan accordingly but this type of situation will not keep your child from participating in the program. We are doing this to lessen the burden to families and we will work with you if we are aware. If you need to enroll your child the campuses have registration packets. Please complete them and return them by this Friday, August 11th. We need to confirm our numbers early so we can be certain we are properly staffed and have the necessary resources. If you have any questions please contact your campus or the Central Administration Office.
