As the 2025–2026 school year gears up, Rusk Intermediate is inviting parents and guardians to get involved by joining the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). A PTO Drive will be held on Wednesday, July 16 at 10:30AM on campus, and all 4th and 5th grade parents are encouraged to attend.
This relaxed, come-and-go event is the perfect opportunity for new and returning parents to learn what the PTO is all about. The organization plays a vital role in supporting teachers, planning student and family events, organizing fundraisers, and lending a helping hand wherever it’s needed on campus.
“We’re looking for fresh faces and new ideas,” said PTO representatives. “Whether you’re ready to take on a leadership role or just want to help out occasionally, there’s a place for you.”
During the meeting, attendees will learn about open officer positions, upcoming plans for the school year, and how even small contributions of time or creativity can make a big impact. Light refreshments will be available, and all are welcome.
