The RHS tennis team held its First Annual Mick Guess Invitationals, in honor of longtime Rusk tennis coach, Mick Guess. The event brought together Rusk tennis players and members of the community for a day of friendly matches, teamwork, and charitable giving. The event raised a total of $626.00 through generous donations from participants and spectators. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society to support breast cancer research.

Rusk Intermediate and GW Bradford Primary are without power due to damage from high winds. The power is not expected to be restored until later tomorrow and therefore both the Intermediate and GW Bradford campuses will be closed on Wednesday March 4th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.


Our RHS Tennis Team had a great showing at the Elkhart Invitationals. With six schools participating, every varsity player medaled in the Elkhart Invitationals last Thursday. Way to go Varsity Tennis! Tonkao Lustig and Zuza Jesko received first place Girls Doubles. Hagen Hassell and Daniel Kopecky took first place in Boys Doubles. Robbie Calligan and Lexie Vargas took second place in Mixed Doubles. And Madelynn Ford received third place for Girls Singles.




The Rusk High School tennis team enjoyed a day at the Dallas Open watching some of the world’s top tennis players compete in the quarterfinals. Such an exciting experience!

🎅🤠 Guess who rode into town? Cowboy Santa and Mrs. Claus visited RES during lunch! They brought the holiday spirit Texas-style, reading the beloved Texas Night Before Christmas to our students. Oh, to see the smiles and hear the laughter as we celebrated with Chili Frito Pie during lunch—Texas style!
