We’re wrapping up the first nine weeks with an exciting Fun Day Friday! We’re aiming for 100% attendance because we don’t want any student to miss out on all the fun we’ve got planned! 🎈
From grade level incentive celebrations, House Lunches, House Parties, Shine Time and other special surprises, it’s going to be a day full of excitement. Make sure your student is here so they can join in on the celebration and be part of this special day with their classmates!

10/10, 10/14-17, and 10/21 will be "dress for the mess" days in art for 2nd grade.
We want to give a huge shoutout to our amazing PE coaches at RES! These dedicated professionals go above and beyond to keep our students healthy, active, and energized every day. From teaching important life skills like teamwork and perseverance to keeping us all moving with fun games and activities, our coaches are the heartbeat of our physical education program. Thank you for all that you do to inspire, motivate, and lead our students to be the best they can be! We're lucky to have such wonderful role models!

🚒🔥 Fire Prevention Week is Here! 🔥🚒
This week, our students are learning how to stay safe in case of a fire. We’re talking about fire safety, practicing evacuation routes, and meeting some of our local heroes—the firefighters!

This is a special time to come together with our housemates, build connections, and celebrate teamwork! ✨ We’ve got exciting team-building activities planned that will help us grow closer as a community and strengthen the bonds in our RES family. It’s going to be a day full of fun, laughter, and house pride! 💙💛❤️💚 See you Friday for an unforgettable day!
On Monday, we will show our school spirit and dream big by wearing college shirts! Encourage your kids to wear their favorite college gear and represent their future alma mater. Whether it’s a shirt or colors, let’s get excited about the possibilities that lie ahead!

The Rusk Elementary Leadership Team is collecting new adult socks throughout the month of October to bring warmth and comfort to residents in our surrounding nursing homes. 🧦
Help us make a difference by donating! Together, we can show our love and care to those who need it most. Donations can be dropped off at the school office. Let's make this October extra cozy for our elderly community! 💖
