As one of our amazing Practicum Students, Ms. Lilly spent her days on campus learning from her mentor teacher, Mrs. Jinkins and Mrs. Lee and pouring her heart into the classroom. To commemorate this special time, Lily found the sweetest way to carry a piece of her students with her: she spent time carefully collecting each child’s tiny, precious fingerprint on the bottom ruffle of a dress, writing their names beside each one. 💗 Tonight, she’s wearing that very dress to graduation. 🎓

Soft-spoken but mighty in impact, Mrs. Doss pours her heart into teaching, especially the craft of reading, where her passion truly shines. She nurtures a love for learning in her students, guiding them with patience, purpose, and deep care. Her classroom is a place of warmth, growth, and high expectations, and her students thrive because they know they are seen and supported. 🎉 Celebrating Our Very Own Custodian of the Year ~ Misty Cain! 🎉 We are beyond thrilled to share that our incredible RES custodian, Misty Cain, has been named Custodian of the Year! This honor is so well deserved. Misty isn’t just someone who takes care of our building she takes care of our school family. With a giant heart and unwavering dedication, Misty pours love into every hallway, every classroom, and every person she meets. She sees our staff and students not just as coworkers and kids, but as people she truly cares about. From the warm greetings to the genuine relationships she builds, Misty models what it means to be a part of the RES community. Thank you, Misty, for everything you do...the seen and the unseen. You make RES shine in every way!

🎉🏆 House Champion Reveal! 🏆🎉 We’re ending the school year with a BIG celebration — congratulations to the House of Courage, our 2024 House Champions! This was our first year incorporating the House System, and WOW ... we’ve learned so much, built stronger connections, and had a blast along the way! 💙💚💛❤️ The hype continues next year! 👉 Our current 2nd graders will stay in their same House as they move to 3rd grade. 👉 Incoming 2nd graders — get ready! You’ll have your own EPIC House Reveal during the first 9 weeks of school! We’re so proud of the growth and spirit this system has brought to our school, and we can’t wait to keep it going!

These two know how to keep things fun, interesting, and full of energy...just one more reason why RES is the best place to learn, laugh, and grow! 🦅

🍿❤️ Poppin’ in with Gratitude! ❤️🍿 A big THANK YOU to one of our amazing PTO parents and her sweet 2nd grade son who surprised the RES staff with a popcorn treat today! 🎉 Their kind gesture was a way of saying “thank you” for a successful Family Night and we’re the ones feeling truly grateful! 🙌 This family is new to our community, but they’ve already made such a big impact in a short time. We are so thankful to have them as part of the RES family! 🦅

Our creative 3rd graders in Mrs. Boudreaux's classroom have been hard at work learning about the Regions of Texas and they brought their knowledge to life by creating their very own maps!

🍔 BURGER PARTY TIME! 🍔 Thanks to Burger King for an awesome Family Night and for treating our top classes: Mrs. Goldsberry’s and Mrs. Brogdon’s classes to a tasty reward! 🎉

🎉 What an ooey-gooey good time! 🎉 This afternoon, Mrs. Oliver and Mrs. Cahalane had a slimy blast with our Top Fundraiser students! As a reward for their amazing efforts, these kiddos got to attend a SLIME party and they loved every second of it! 😄 Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraiser. Because of you, we’re able to make great things happen at RES!

THIS Wednesday @6:00pm Elementary Cafeteria We encourage all incoming 2nd & 3rd grade parents to attend! (Current 3rd grade parents are welcome as well.) At this meeting we will determine who next years officers will be.

Yesterday was Speech-Language Pathologist Appreciation Day, and we didn’t want to let it pass without giving a HUGE shoutout to Mrs. Cox and Mrs. Goldsberry today on this wonderful Monday! 🎉 These two incredible ladies work daily to help our students grow in confidence, communication, and connection. Their patience, dedication, and love make such a difference at RES! ❤️

Earlier this month, our students took a special trip to Elijah’s Retreat, where they had the chance to connect with animals in a hands-on, up-close way! From feeding to petting, they absolutely loved every minute of it. 🐴🐐🐓

Our 3rd graders soaked up every moment of their incentive trip to The Village Waterpark. It was a well-deserved reward for their hard work and great choices this year!
