As you all know… we do things a bit differently at the Elementary! Meet Homie the House GOAT and yes, he’s a cool kid! This Friday, we’re aiming for 100% attendance as we officially get acquainted with Homie! Show up, show out, and bring the House Hype because students who go all in will be named the G.O.A.T. of their House color!

Ron Clark often shares the philosophy that if everyone in the workplace gave just 1% more, the impact would be extraordinary. Mrs. Kennedy embodies that belief daily. With intentional effort, she greets every single student at her door with a smile, a cheer, and sometimes even a chant for students passing by. And if you look closely, you’ll see Mrs. Stanley walking a student to class, offering some much-needed TLC, a quiet moment of care, reassurance, and connection. It may seem small, but that extra 1% creates connection, joy, and a sense of belonging that students carry with them all day. This is the kind of energy that transforms a school not through grand gestures, but through consistent, intentional moments of care.❤️

🍿 SuSu’s Popcorn Fundraiser Begins Today! 🍿 Rusk Elementary School is kicking off our SuSu’s Popcorn Fundraiser today! Order forms are coming home with students, and all forms and money are due by January 29. All profits earned will go directly toward student incentives, helping us celebrate and reward our RES Eagles for their hard work and positive choices. Thank you for supporting our students and our school! 🦅

Welcome to the Eagle Family, "Officer A"! ❤️ 🦅 Our new Rusk ISD security officer, Officer Arthur Greggory, made several visits to RES today, and we loved seeing his positive presence around campus. He put our staff at ease and our students are excited to see him and get to know him better!

Congratulations to 3rd grader SallyJo, who was awarded an Exceptional Eagle Award by the Rusk ISD Education Foundation! This recognition is a true honor, and we are incredibly proud of her. 🦅
