Congratulations to our JV Eagle tennis team in last week's tournament in Mineola. They earned 9 medals. Special recognition goes to Jack Ford who was down four games in the championship match for first place in boys singles. He came from behind and got the victory. Way to eagles!

Join the Rusk High School tennis team in the fight against breast cancer by participating in the Mick Guess Alumni Invitationals, our first annual charity tennis tournament at 8:30 am on April 5th! This special event welcomes alumni, RISD students, and community members to compete while supporting a great cause. The tournament will feature five divisions: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, with medals awarded to the top three finishers in each category. There is no fee to play, but donations are encouraged. All proceeds will go toward breast cancer research and support services. Big thanks to our NHS students. They spent an afternoon sorting and folding donated clothes for our local Annie’s Closet. Organizers said that our students were some of the most helpful volunteers they’ve ever had! We are so proud of these students.

With 10 schools participating in the Varsity Palestine Invitationals, the Rusk tennis team earned 3 medals. Congratulations to Hagen Hassel for winning second place in boys singles and Mara and Madelyn Jones for winning second place in girls doubles. Way to go go Eagle Tennis!







Congratulations to our JV tennis team who is having a great season. They won five medals at the recent JV Palestine Tennis Tournament. Go Eagles!





On Saturday, March 1st, our RHS tennis and one junior high tennis player competed in an open singles tournament at Legacy in Tyler. There were 44 players competing in 7 flights. Rusk players took 5 medals! Fantastic job Eagles!




Join us for Advanced Academic Night at RHS. We will be sharing information about our PAP/AP/Dual Credit Courses, CTE Dual Credit Programs, Core Complete and Associates Degree opportunities. We look forward to visiting with you in the RHS Commons at 5:15.


Our RHS Tennis Team had a great showing at the Elkhart Invitationals. With six schools participating, every varsity player medaled in the Elkhart Invitationals last Thursday. Way to go Varsity Tennis! Tonkao Lustig and Zuza Jesko received first place Girls Doubles. Hagen Hassell and Daniel Kopecky took first place in Boys Doubles. Robbie Calligan and Lexie Vargas took second place in Mixed Doubles. And Madelynn Ford received third place for Girls Singles.

Rusk High School Theatre will present our 2025 OAP competition on March 3rd at 6 pm in the Rusk ISD Auditorium. Come out for evening of entertainment as they present "The 39 Steps".
There is no ticket price but donations are welcomed.

Congratulations to our RHS JV Tennis Team. They competed at the Madisonville tournament last Thursday and won four medals! JV medal winners from the Madisonville tournament included Vesper Blankenship, Tomasa Cruz, Jada Turner, and Liliana Rivera.
