Rusk Intermediate is gearing up for our annual ROCKTOBERFEST!
To make this event a rockin' success, we need help with candy donations!
Please drop off candy donations at the school office by **October 11th**.
Each student who donates a bag of candy will receive 5 extra dojo points!!

Rusk Intermediate will be collecting canned food donations all week next week to help the Rusk FFA in their donation to the Good Samaritan and Packs of Love!
The class with the most collected cans will receive and popcorn AND recess party!

Rusk Intermediate had a full house last night at the Annual Watch D.O.G.S. Kickoff event! It was a fantastic evening for dads, father figures, and their kiddos to come together and learn about this impactful program.
The Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program is a nationwide initiative that encourages fathers and father figures to take an active role in their children's education. By volunteering at the school, they provide positive male role models for students, helping to promote a safe and supportive learning environment.
We're excited to see the positive impact this program will have on our school community this year!
Thank you to the Rusk Intermediate PTO for the delicious pizza and our amazing RIS Dads for showing up and showing out! A special thank you to Mr. Devan Waters for being out guest speaker. His inspiring and energetic speech truly set the tone for an incredible year ahead with out Watch DOGS!
After last night, we're sure our dads are ready to "raise the woof" at Rusk Intermediate!
We're eager to get this year started with out Watch DOGS and see the positivie impact they'll have on our campus!

Next week, Rusk Intermediate will be celebrating Grandparent's Day in a unique and meaningful way at school. Throughout the week, students will be participating in special activities dedicated to honoring and appreciating the important role grandparents play in their lives. Like sharing stories to creating heartfelt surprises for you! We're making sure your grandchild has the opportunity to express their love and gratitude.
As a special treat, your grandchild has prepared a sweet surprise that will be arriving in your mailbox very soon! We encourage you to keep an eye out for this token of their affection-it's sure to bring a smile to your day!

*Magic Monday Shoutouts* at Rusk Intermediate are a special weekly tradition where teachers select one student from their class to highlight and celebrate!
Each Monday, these chosen students are recognized for their outstanding behavior, hard work, or other positive contributions in the the classroom. It's a great way to start the week on a positive notes, encouraging students and showcasing their achievements.
The selected students receive recognition during out Magic Monday Meeting, making it a magical start to the week!
