Join us at the school for the enrollment for Rusk Head Start, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students who will be attending school for the FIRST time in 2024-2025. *Age requirements that must be met by September 1, 2024 include: 5 years old for Kindergarten. 4 years old for full-day Head Start/Pre-Kindergarten. Documents needed to start enrollment. Child's Birth Certificate. Child's social security card. Proof of residency-electric or water bill in your name with current address. 8th grade family night at Rusk High School, February 29th, beginning at 5:30pm in the auditorium. This will last until 7:30pm. Parents will learn about: TJC scholarship, pre ap/ap/dual credit, rank/gpa, endorsements and programs of study. at the end of the nights, parents can sit down with counselors and change classes. we also encourage parents to sign their student's career plan.

February is CTE month! It's a time to raise awareness of the role that CTE has in preparing students for college and career success. Rusk ISD serves more than 400 students daily within the CTE classrooms of Rusk Junior High and Rusk High School. We currently have 11 programs of study. Next year, we will be adding Law Enforcement, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing & Sales. We couldn't make it happen without the teachers who strive to provide career exploration prior to graduation! TJC Spring Dual Credit Enrollment & Payment Drive. For all students taking TJC Dual Credit at RHS during the Spring 2024 semester, enrollment and payment set up will be completed in the RHS College and Career Center on Tuesday, November 28th from 11:30 to 1:00. Parents may come to the RHS College and Career Center to set up payment or you can login to your student's Apache Access and complete the process online. Payments are due by December 15th. If you come on campus to pay, please bring cash or check. For more information, please email crawford.reyes@ruskisd.net.
The Fourth Annual Rusk High School Career Fair is taking place today. All high school students and eighth graders from Rusk Junior High will get the opportunity to talk to a people from a variety of career pathways. We are thankful for our community members who are participating in this year's event.
