Our Elementary PTO will be selling Spirit Tattoos for just $1 on Thursday.

Our Eagles love using their Chromebooks, but we also know they need a little TLC! 💻Students are learning the importance of taking care of their devices. ➡️ Families can also purchase device insurance for just $25 for extra peace of mind.

Elementary is off to a great start with teacher PLCs...now rebranded as TCB! 🎶 Because when it comes to Taking Care of Business, our teachers do it best!!!

Our 2nd graders have been working hard to earn tickets and are so excited to choose their favorite incentives! 🎟️ Fingers crossed that their ticket is the lucky one drawn!

On Tuesday, Rusk Elementary had only ONE student absent all day!
That’s an amazing achievement and shows the dedication of our students, families, and staff. Every day at school matters, and together we are building a strong future! ❤️🖤 Keep up the great work, Eagles—let’s see if we can have a perfect attendance day soon!

Way to go, 3rd graders! These students earned tickets for showing positive behavior at RES. We are so proud of their hard work, great choices, and Eagle spirit!

Stay hydrated, Eagles! 💧 Our water bottle filling stations are a hit at RES. Students are refilling bottles throughout the day, making it easier to stay healthy, focused, and ready to learn. 🦅

Thank you once again to the Rusk Education Foundation! Because of your generosity, teacher grants are being fulfilled, and our students will greatly benefit from these opportunities. We are so grateful for your continued support of our schools and classrooms!

It’s a busy Homecoming Week, and with a beach-themed day that Tuesday, we can’t wait to keep the celebration going! We hope this will be a special night to remember for our students, grandparents, families, and special friends. Come make memories with your Eagle family—see you there!

Beginning September 8th, RES is excited to welcome lunch guests back on campus!
✅ Approved Guests Only - All visitors must be listed in Skyward.
✅ Lunch Options – You may bring lunch for your student only or join your child/grandchild in the cafeteria.
✅ Seating – Visitors and students will sit in a designated lunch area.
✅ Reservations – Please call the office in advance so we can have your visitor tag ready. (Reservations are encouraged but not required.)
We can’t wait to see you at lunch!

Car Line Reminders:
All students must be dropped off and picked up through the carline. Please do not bypass the line to park and allow your student to walk up from the road.

Your patience and cooperation are greatly appreciated as we begin the new school year. Our priority is student safety, and we’ve found that when everyone follows the procedures, the carline works smoothly, allowing all parents to drop off and pick up their children safely and efficiently.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Trawick to Rusk Elementary as both a paraprofessional and student teacher! A proud Rusk alumna, she has returned home to complete her SFA coursework while learning alongside our amazing staff. She is a natural in the classroom, and we know she is well on her way to becoming a wonderful teacher very soon. Welcome back to the Eagle family, Ms. Trawick!

We are so excited to welcome Mrs. Johnson as our new paraprofessional at Rusk Elementary! She is no stranger to Rusk ISD. Many of you may recognize her from her time as a substitute teacher, and we’ve loved getting to know her as two of her children have come through our campus. With her huge heart and a smile that lights up the room, we know she will be such a blessing to our students and staff.

We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Lankford as our new paraprofessional at Rusk Elementary! With many years of experience supporting students, she brings both skill and heart to our campus. Even more special, she’s a proud Rusk alumna, and we couldn’t be happier that she has chosen to return home to the Eagle family.
